This penthouse is located on the rooftop of a stately home in the historic center of Palma de Mallorca. The typical access courtyard of these Mallorcan houses defines the layout of the dwelling, which revolves around this courtyard, turning its back to it. The new entrance to the residence through an orange tree garden on the terrace breaks with the conventional urban apartment typology. A privileged 250 m² perimeter terrace serves as an extension of the home, allowing the two occupants, a single resident and a German shepherd, to live comfortably.

The main activities that take place inside, the primary territory of the resident, are reflected on the terrace, the dog’s main domain, allowing the dog to spend the day alongside its owner from the terrace. Conversely, the home extends into the terrace in certain areas—the sunset lounge, the outdoor dining area, the cocktail bar, or the exterior platform/spa—while the terrace intrudes into the interior, completing, in the hallway, a 100‑meter outdoor track that both occupants can use for their morning exercises. Inside, a collection of movable elements blurs the boundaries between rooms, allowing for multiple scenarios within the residence.
