On the iconic Passeig Mallorca in Palma, these offices are discreetly aligned on the ground floor of the building at Passeig Mallorca 15, creating a fusion that highlights the subtle interplay between the urban and the natural. With 175 m² behind a wooden louvered façade, a space emerges that, through generous windows, effortlessly intertwines interior and exterior, establishing a fluid spatial continuity.

This harmonious connection is achieved not only through the large windows that allow natural light to enter, but also through the careful selection of Mediterranean and locally sourced materials, closely tied to the context of Sa Riera. Sunlight permeates the various areas, highlighting the intrinsic beauty of the natural elements.

The layout unfolds into clearly defined areas: a rectangular, bright, neutral, and expansive workspace, featuring a central 6-meter table clad in mineral micromortar, demonstrating great versatility for multiple uses. Opposite this work area, a small interior garden evokes the Mediterranean essence, while a relaxation zone, set before an imposing mirrored volume, showcases furniture with clean lines and sculptural forms. Recessed niches between the windows allow for the display of objects, adding an artistic dimension to the space’s functionality.

The design strategy embraces the integration of interrupted mirrored volumes to maintain visual continuity. Linen curtains provide a scenographic effect, reconfiguring the space according to changing needs. Two meeting and office areas at opposite ends complete the design, balancing protection and privacy with openness and exposure.

A palette of earthy tones and grays blends harmoniously, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Natural materials, such as traditional lime plaster, solid sinks made from local stone, and aged bronze elements, define the character of the space, providing visual warmth and a sense of rootedness. The flooring of recycled northern pine wood adds a circular dimension, infusing vitality and a connection to nature.

The concept of the Ramis office emerges as a reflection of the essence of the building at Passeig Mallorca 15, conveying its identity outward in an austere and conceptual manner, in harmony with a philosophy that embraces timeless and organic qualities. The space aims to merge simplicity, timelessness, and interconnection, establishing a dialogue between space, material, and sensory experience.

The color palette immerses itself in earthy and neutral tones, with a focus on the interplay of light and shadow. Natural materials such as local stone, aged wood for flooring, and bronze have been used to emphasize authenticity and durability.

In terms of spatial layout, fluidity is promoted to allow the environment to adapt and evolve. The flexibility of the space and the office’s ability to transform and respond to changing needs aim to achieve a deep technical and functional understanding. Ultimately, this office ensures a meticulous choreography of elements that encapsulate a rich conceptual narrative and a profound understanding of human interaction with the designed space.

The deliberate incorporation of natural elements in this work environment opens a doorway to a deeper understanding of the dynamics between humans and their built surroundings. In line with ontological theories that explore the symbiotic relationship between humans and nature, this fusion constitutes a tangible expression of our interconnectedness with the environment. The presence of natural elements and vegetation in workspaces not only promotes a physically pleasant environment but can also act as a catalyst for greater social cohesion, fostering a sense of shared, primal belonging and unity among members of the work community.
Thus, the conceptualization and implementation of this integration aim to achieve a profound understanding of the human and environmental dynamics that shape our everyday experience.
